The Full Story
Born in Rhode Island and raised in San Diego, I have spent my life immersed in the creative energy of some of the most vibrant cities in the United States. My journey as an artist began in 2008, inspired not only by the bold, transformative works of Salvador Dalí, Frida Kahlo, Vincent van Gogh, Keith Haring, and Basquiat but also by the dynamic street art movement that was unfolding at the time. This movement ignited my passion for visual expression and set me on the path to discovering my artistic voice.
After moving to Los Angeles in 2006, I spent a few formative years living in Venice Beach before returning to San Diego to study art at San Diego City College. In 2012, I ventured to New York City to explore new artistic perspectives, only to find myself drawn back to San Diego a year later. In 2017, I relocated to Seattle, where the city’s eclectic art scene further shaped my creative journey.
Since 2021, I have called South Florida home, where the lush, tropical landscape continues to inspire my work. My art is characterized by imaginative landscapes that blend reality and fantasy. I paint cities reimagined as floating islands, suspended in space like worlds of their own—each piece a vibrant fusion of surrealism and urban expression. Influenced by my experiences living in diverse cities, my paintings explore the concept of urban transformation, capturing the spirit of change and resilience. Through bold colors, dynamic forms, and a dreamlike quality, I invite viewers to immerse themselves in these suspended, otherworldly realms.
